I have been a crafter all of my life. As a child I could be found drawing and painting, helping my father build things or making any craft I could get my hands on. After high school, I attended Virginia Tech where I was able to explore many new areas of art and design. After graduating college with a degree in Interior Design and minor in art, I moved to the Outer Banks in NC. While there, I worked at an Interior Design business and through that I discovered I enjoy moving and working with my hands and that a desk job was not for me.
With the Outer Banks as my home base, I spent several years traveling, crafting and painting along the way. On one adventure I received a book about faux finishing as a gift. The wonderful friend I was staying with, allowed me to use his house as my first canvas. Pictures of those first works are what, years later, helped me start my own business as a decorative painter in Colorado where I traded in my beach roots for a view of mountains right outside my window.
I have always been a painter, not of literal things, but of colors moving across the paper. Color is my passion. I decided to share this passion with others by helping them understand what color means to them in their home or business. Helping them discover how color and texture can change their space. It is a wonderful experience to be a part of such a simple change that can have such a dynamic impact on a space and in turn on the people in it.
Let me help you discover your color passion!
